In the early 1990's Bemersyde purchased a line of springing 2 year olds sired by Sooner from a mostly unknown registered herd situated in Western Victoria called Dreno. These cows went on to become tremendous brood cows and have established many very good cow families. The leading cow family at Wallacedale being the 'Maries'. Dreno Sooner Marie 549 VHC 90 EXC 8 milked until 11 years of age and produced a top lactation @ 7 years of 6535 litres, 351 kg fat, 253 kg protein, 305 days. Marie 549 produced two outstanding daughters in Wallacedale Montana Marie VHC 90 EXC 6, who @ 5 yrs produced 9656 litres, 455 kg fat, 323 kg protien, PI 121, 305 days. Montana Marie's first daughter to calve is by BWParade and scored 86 points and produced as a senior 2 year old, 7535 litres, 330 kg fat, 277 kg protein, PI 112, 305 days.
