The founding member of the Handsome family at Bemersyde was Rosallen Handsome Pet VHC. Her dam was the 3 times Brisbane Royal Champion in 1958, 59 and 60, Rosallen Handsome VHC. The late Roy Cox placed Rosallen Handsome as the Champion cow in one of these years and on a return visit he purchased her daughter Rosallen Handsome Pet. She began a very succesful family at Bemersyde who are now the leading cow family carrying the Bemersyde prefix. Bemersyde T37 Handsome VHC 91 EXC7 (pictured above) was a 2 year old finalist in the Great Southern Challenge 2003, 1st 2yr old South Gippsland On Farm Challenge 2003, 3rd 3 year old Central Gippsland On Farm Challenge 2003, 1st Type and Production 3 year old South Gippsland On Farm Challenge 2004 and 3rd 3 year old Central Gippsland On Farm Challenge 2004.
